My losses for the 1st half of my trip are impressive. As someone who prides himself on being able to get from A to B without breaking, forgetting or losing anything the following list is quite shocking:
Levis Jacket - Lent and not returned in Riga
Laptop hard drive - broken in Riga but repaired in Vilius
Petzl torch - Left in apartment in Kiev
Tee shirt - Torn by car park barrier in Bucharest
Sunglasses - Lost in Budapest
Will to live - lost and then found again in Twatislava
Eye mask - Left in hostel in Warsaw
Ear plugs - Left in hostel in Warsaw
Hiking shoes - Left in hostel in Warsaw
I vowed to make sure I didn't so much as lose my towel on the 2nd part of my trip and so you'll be amused to hear that so far the only thing I have lost, is my towel!
