Leaving Montenegro

The bus journey from Budva to Ulcinj was a nice one and upon our arrival we met a young British lad and his Canadian girlfriend at the side of the bus. They had spent a few days in Budva hospital as a few days earlier he had jumped off the Mostar bridge and suffered a terrible landing that left him with what doctors suspected might be a punctured lung! Despite all this, all I wanted to know was if they were going to share the cab to Albania with us as it would halve our costs immediately. Eventually, we all squeezed into the cab and shot off to the border where we were in for a surprise or two as to what Europe still had to offer.
